Like me, if you have been a fan of movies like ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Jab We Met’, you WILL have 'visiting Manali' on your bucket list!

Last year I decided to check this place off my bucket list and planned a trip to Manali. This is a long overdue blog.

While I was checking for hotels on Booking.com, a friend of mine told me about this hostel named ‘The Lost Tribe’. From the pictures online, it seemed like a usual pocket-friendly hostel, hence I quickly booked it. I landed in Chandigarh and took a cab till Manali.

Hungry and tired, I landed in Manali, at around 1 am. All I needed was some food and a bed to crash on. The only thing that the hostel could offer me to eat at that odd hour was some egg biryani and some hot chocolate. I decided to eat what I get unaware that the hot chocolate I was about to have, would be the best hot chocolate to this day! After enjoying that steaming cup of hot chocolate on a cold starry night, I immediately crashed. So far I was completely oblivious to the incredible beauty of this place.

The next morning when I woke up, I was awestruck with the true beauty of Manali and The Lost Tribe. I opened my eyes to a breathtaking view of snow-capped mountains and tall trees. Instead of rushing to explore Manali, I decided to sit back and enjoy my breakfast with the same delicious hot chocolate. Relishing the food whilst the beautiful view was everything I could ever ask for.

With around 4 dogs, each with their own story to tell, The Lost Tribe is heaven for dog-loving pawsome travelers. The people managing the place are themselves travelers who settle there for a few months, work and then move on to their next destination. And hence the best to guide you and help you explore the local places in Manali.

The next 3 days, were the best days of my trip. I enjoyed each day amidst nature at The Lost Tribe. It wasn’t just any hostel. It was an experience in itself. With a view of snow-capped mountains, beautiful scenic sky, adorable puppies to play with and some amazing people managing the place, The Lost Tribe was love at first sight.
